About the Author
The difference between the shitty year of 2015 and now ? I have a better understanding of it .
I have tools in my toolbox that help during those shitty days and for the days that I don ’ t even have the energy to help myself , I don ’ t fight it . I don ’ t feel guilty for not being able to show up those days . I don ’ t feel ashamed that depression can take me down like that . I let it pass as peacefully as possible . I find when I fight less during those days that it ’ s easier .
As a boss of my own business I need to have a comfortable understanding of my depression so that I can still provide a service to myself , my business , and my clients .
I ’ m still learning ways of refining
my process to work best for me , but basically it goes like this : On good days , I create like mad . On bad days , I celebrate with self-care .
P . S . I ’ ve been creating like mad for a while now so get excited because big things are popping up left and right and I can barely handle all the awesomeness . And if you haven ’ t been keeping track , we ’ ve officially hit one year of my new life motto : Heart take the Wheel . I couldn ’ t have made a better life choice and I ’ m proud of where I ’ ve been in this last year and I ’ m excited for what ’ s coming up .
I ’ ll leave you with this quote by Antoine De Saint Exupery : “ It is only with the heart that one can see rightly ; what is essential is invisible to the eye .”
