Letter from the editor
We need to do more. We need to empower ourselves so that in turn we can empower others. We are
failing each other every single day because we are failing ourselves.
We are failing ourselves and everyone around us every time we look in the mirror and think we aren’t
pretty enough. Every time we think we are too fat or too thin. Every time you write, make or create
something beautiful only to tell yourself it’s not good enough. We’ve been hurting each other for far too
long because we are hurting ourselves.
You have to love yourself more so that you can love others. It’s not another person’s fault that they have
a feature or talent that you are envious of. Look inside yourself and find your features and your talents.
Then help others do the same. Pave the way. Stop dragging your feet down the path and start paving
a new one with strength and courage. You have to do the hard work. You have to show others that one
person can make a difference because they can.
We have to do more for our world. The world deserves and craves your brave soul. Speak up and live your
life with pure and true action. Look in that mirror and see how incredibly beautiful you are. See how
brave you can be and then push yourself even further. Then do it again. The world needs you here. It’s
time for us to show up.
You are entitled to the best life out there. Society makes you think that entitlement is evil. This is why
we need to do more. We are entitled to everything. Happiness, joy, love and everything we want. You just
have to stop thinking you are limited by an imaginary ceiling.
