Chembus comes to Breadalbane Academy
On Tuesday 2nd February pupils in S1, S2 and S3
were given the exciting opportunity to participate in
the Chembus experience, delivered by Chemists from
St Andrew’s University in association with the Royal
Society of Chemistry. Pupils were treated to
demonstrations on the properties of gases in the
atmosphere which involved experiments such as
dipping flowers into liquid nitrogen. They also
participated in many hands-on activities to investigate
making invisible inks; properties of polymers;
properties of carbon dioxide and making gold coins.
Here is a selection of some of
the photos taken on the day.
