Personality of the Year Triumph
Huge Congratulations go to Victoria Murray who
won the Female Junior Perth & Kinross Council
Sports Personality of the Year at the recent Sports
Awards. Victoria participates in canoe slalom and
last year won the Junior Slalom Kayak Champion
and the silver medal at Ceske Budejovice, in the
Czech Republic in European Canoe Slalom Cup.
Victoria trains regularly with Breadalbane Canoe
Club.
Ski Trip
32 S1 – S3 pupils from Breadalbane Academy
travelled up to Glenshee on 24th and 25th February
for two fantastic days of skiing. The weather was
great and there was plenty of snow and all pupils
and staff enjoyed the day. The instruction was led
by Cally Gordon from Blairgowrie Active Breaks
who provides the ski instructors, ski hire equipment
and ski passes. He was very complimentary of our
pupils who he felt learned quickly and were a
fantastic group of young people to work with.
Rugby
8 Breadalbane pupils have
recently received awards for
rugby. Erin Halliday-Orr, Rory
Oag, Ruaridh Webster, Harry
Burton, Oliver Campbell,
Atholl Davidson, Duncan
Edwards and Lewis Donaghy
all passed the Rugby Ready
Course and the Scottish
Rugby Union Youth Coaching
Award. Well done to you all.
These pupils will be
volunteering at our rugby after
school club and Rory McKay from Perthshire Rugby will be attending one of these sessions to assess them and
see how they are progressing with their coaching.
