Day 1 : Arrive Melbourne Welcome to Melbourne ! On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel . This evening join your Tour Director for a welcome reception and dinner onboard the famous Colonial Tramcar Restaurant . ( DW )

Day 2 : Melbourne Explore Melbourne on a city sights tour , then discover its eclectic little laneways , arcades , café society and fascinating street art on your private walking tour . The rest of your day is free for you to do as you please . ( B )

Day 3 : Melbourne – Cairns ( flight not included ) Depart Melbourne and fly to Cairns . On arrival , join your local guide for a private wildlife journey at Hartley ’ s Crocodile Adventures . Enjoy a boat cruise and encounter koalas , wallabies , birds , crocodiles and more ! This evening , feast on a delicious meal of fresh seasonal produce at Salt House with views of the Cairns waterfront . ( B , DW )

Day 4 : Cairns at leisure Today is free for you to discover Cairns . Perhaps take an optional tour to explore the ‘ village in the rainforest ’ on the Kuranda Scenic Railway . ( B )

Day 5 : Great Barrier Reef Board a high-speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef . You can snorkel and view this natural living wonder up close ( equipment provided ) or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a semi-submersible craft , just one metre underwater . Day 9 : Sydney – Queenstown ( flight not included ) Say farewell to Sydney and fly to Queenstown , New Zealand . On arrival , explore the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown , before an orientation tour of Queenstown and surroundings . This evening join your Tour Director for a highlight dinner at The Boatshed . Set in the restored historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office and relocated to its lakefront setting in 1936 , The Boatshed , with its spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range , is the perfect venue for your exclusive dinner with wine . Day 10 : Queenstown at leisure You have a free day to do as you choose in New Zealand ’ s adventure capital . Why not take an optional tour to breathtaking Milford Sound for a cruise on the majestic fjord . ( B )

Day 11 : Queenstown at leisure Today you may like to consider taking another optional tour . You could ride the Shotover Jet boat , join a wine tour , play a round of golf , take a 4WD minibus excursion through Skippers Canyon , relax with a spa treatment at Millbrook Resort or just explore Queenstown on your own . Day 12 : Queenstown – Rotorua ( flight not included ) Fly from Queenstown to Rotorua , the cultural centre of New Zealand . Day 14 : Rotorua – Auckland Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible glowworm grotto and Limestone Caves with a local expert .
