Jason Lily
Where the phenomenon originates? Jason Lily, born in 1988 in a family loving art and music, with mother Marie-Line and father Sylvain, he had the calling to practice music in his childhood. It all started with playing harmonica at 6. His father created LariBluz in Curepipe, a meeting place where musical expressions can be celebrated. At the age of 12, he got in touch with jazz music at the Caudan Waterfront in the weekend shows. He met with Neshen Teeroovengadum, with whom he is playing with in the Fink Factor band. He also approached Patrick Theeboo who introduced him to battery. He started battery lessons with the latter and during that period had the opportunity to play with the musicians at LariBluz.
#Achievements
- Participated in 2011 in the First Jazz Contest - Singer category.
- One year later he was in Nottingham for the World Event Young Artists (WEYA) festival with his former band, Patyatann.
- In December 2012, his new band Maron’er got the “Prix decouverte” from the Festival Enn.
- 2013 was the year where he worked on the album of Porgy ek Bess, a Mauritian adaptation of Gershwin Opera. Enn Pasletan.
- In 2014, Maron’er won the Backstage Award
- The single Losean Indien, a collaboration with Thierry Volcy and Christabelle Andre, was ranked 15th in the hit parade of 2015.
- In April 2015, with the Mauritian fleet, he won the 3rd prize at the International Carnival of Victoria, Seychelles.

The concepts acquired throughout his studies enable him to deal with the management of an artist life, for example with contract proposals. He created the company MoZilRis Prod which creates the opportunity for artists to express their creations coupled with on-going support and coaching regarding all aspects of artist life.
