Tracks that define who you are as an artist
I have two distinct sides to myself, and times where it blends in the middle. I have my excitable, energetic raver-Neko self; on the other side the darker, reflective-Lauren.
I definitely have a soft spot for my latest release with Slime Recordings – ‘Serenity’ as that is completely the vulnerable and dark-Lauren side.
For the Neko side of me, I love the remix by Emil Persson for ‘This is what it is’ – it totally captures the rave vibes that really consolidated my passion for being a vocalist. It’s also a bit cheeky and playful, very cat-like.
Where it meets in the middle, I would say is the original track ‘Turn the Night’ which was the first track released through my label of the same name. It has a fresh and uplifting energy whilst still having a touch of depth and mystery to it.
