I have skippy flows, so I definitely like a skippy beat... or I like stories that are so real they make me go cold.

I think an artist has to be believable for me to like them. If it's clearly fake, manufactured, uncomfortably cheesy or just amateur, It's not attractive or entertaining for me personally.

I like real music and musical talent, not novelty acts.

When listening to submissions for the label I listen for that believability that I just mentioned, something different, fresh, impressive and exciting that people would want to hear and share.

Underground vs Commercial. What are your thoughts?

A lot of what's commercial now derived from so many elements of underground music.

I've heard Dubstep, Grime, Drum&Bass, Hip Hop, Trap and all sorts on commercial radio. Even POP music specifically made for the charts with elements of all of the above.

The commercial market in a way dictates to people what's current and has the power to override the underground. However, if something is big on the streets, whether it has a ‘commercially viable’ sound or not, the commercial market is usually the first to jump on the bandwagon and claim it.

Really, most music starts on an underground circuit and filters through to the commercial scene. Generally speaking.

What does music mean to you?

Music is a huge part of who I am as a human.

As a baby my mum switched my dummy for headphones to pacify me so I had it in my ears since my high chair and bib.

In school it was a huge social connection between me and my friends.

As a young man it was where I found myself and a way to express the man I was becoming.

Now that I'm grown, it's still the biggest player in my life and is the reason behind most of my ups and downs. I used to have so many aspirations in my destinations for my music but I've learnt that it's a journey and you cant really plan it that way. So I just ride the wave and as a result the music takes up a majority of my life because my passion has been so strong for so long.

Who are your influences?

Random people and things that have definitely defined the way I look at music would be:

My Mum & Dad, DJ Hype, Suburban Base Records, The London Pirate Radio Scene of the 1990’s, Busta Rhymes, Dr Dre, Phil Collins.. Different things for different reasons.

What makes the Taylor Made Music label unique?

I think it's unique because its not surrounded by hype or any marketing falsehood.

t's a raw platform for raw talent, but please remember that it only launched as an official label in February 2015 so the first release is still fresh. The first release was a

garage track, the next release might be more house, or more grime, but it caters for
