Love is more than remembering a birthday, anniversary or Valentine’s Day (also referred to as Single Awareness Day) or buying fancy or expensive gifts. The most successful long term relationships are based on a solid friendship and unconditional positive recognition; we accept our beloved and they accept us for whom and what we are. It takes great courage to let deep love grow over time and to do the work necessary to sustain and nurture our significant relationships. If you want a relationship to work then be prepared to do the work. There is someone out there who knows how to love us. What we are seeking is also seeking us and we are only as far away from that person as they are from us. If a relationship is for you, it will not go by you. You are always better off alone than badly accompanied.
