I am currently half-way through the minor cards for the second edition. The deck has taken a turn while creating the minors, where my drawings are more raw and more of a diary. I don't draw the cards in any particular order, but they emerge as events happen in my life.

In 2008, I immersed myself in tarot after the death of a good friend and started by drawing tarot cards to deal with the grief, but I got involved in other projects after completing only 4 cards. At the end of 2009, I became romantically involved with my current partner (whom, ironically, I met at the memorial service of the good friend mentioned above). In 2010, I moved across country to be with her. With that move, I made a commitment to right-livelihood. To rekindle my passion for drawing, I made a New Years resolution to draw something, anything for at least an hour a day. I worked from tarot card images, using photo editors and my drawing pad. The lover's card is 1 of 3 panels for a 2010 Valentine's Day present for my partner, based on Pamela Smith's image.
