I do have one question in regard to the Report on the Bartlett case. In para. 3 it is reported that ‘at the umpires’ request’ the pitch was moved to a drier area. Could they/did they insist on this being done? The home side clearly didn’t want to play and one might have thought that they would not have agreed to this – unless the umpires can order it?
