She’s currently based in Denver, Colo. Jack Savage, who wrote the “Water Warriors” feature story (page 92) is the author of multiple books about Chris-Craft boats. H., and spends time plying the waters of Lake Winnipesaukee in his Chris-Craft Lancer or sailing the coast of Maine in his Bristol Corsair.  Mark Ellwood uncovers Scotland’s whisky warriors in “Scotland: Distilled and Decadent” (page 86). He writes for the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Condé Nast Traveler, where he is a contributing editor. Ellwood is the author of Bargain Fever: How to Shop in a Discounted World, which explores our culture’s snowballing obsession with deals and discounts, from Prada to Primark. She was the editor in chief of Town + Country Travel for four years before going freelance six years ago. Mitchell is a regular contributor to the Wall Street Journal, Vogue, and Travel + Leisure, among other publications. She splits her time between Chicago, New York City, and Greenwich, Conn. Melissa Mahoney, who frames Joe Deitch in “Master of the Multiplier Effect” (page 68) is a truth seeker who uses her lens to capture her subject’s soul. Early success as a fashion photographer brought her to the couture capitals of Paris and New York. Fate led to her transition as a celebrity photographer when she shot Aerosmith, capturing multiple tours from the U.S. to Europe.
