Students will explore the fascinating world of Photography and film during this semester long elective. Time and Motion will be explored through the lens of a camera. Students will learn how to capture form while investigating how to create dynamic compositions with the intended exposure. Both the still and moving image are explored. Become the next Steven Spielberg or Alfred Hitchcock. Make movies using digital video cameras. Take photos using a digital SLR camera and manipulate them using Adobe Photoshop. Watch great movies and view acclaimed photographs from great directors and artists. This course concentrates on film and photography as both a creative and technical means of communication. Ownership of a camera is not necessary.
