GABRIELA DAVID , POSTER ARTIST
Our 2017 Art Deco Weekend poster Artist , Gabriela David , has been residing in the US since 2012 , when she left Brazil to pursue her education here .
She is fairly new to Miami and loves living here because she is able to experience so many elements of the different cultures she has become familiar with through her travels abroad .
While studying at Lindenwood University ( where she received her BA in Advertisement ) she became enamored with digital illustration . She loves to weave beautiful textures with colors and elements of Gabriela David fashion into her compositions . Variety in life seems to bring her joy , and utilizing digital illustration enables www . gabrieladavid . com her to focus on an idea that may bring many cultural and varied elements together in one creation . Gabriela speaks 4 different languages and converses in 5 , if we count her art !
Miami Design Preservation League is happy that Miami has become Gabriela ’ s home , and we are delighted she is our 2017 Art Deco Weekend poster artist .
