Facility Maintenance Department Earns Award for Loanstar Project The Arlington ISD facility maintenance department was honored as one of eight nationwide winners of a Facility Maintenance Decisions 2015 Achievement Award. The district won in the sustainability category for its LoanSTAR project success. Since the start of the AISD energy management program during the 2010-2011 school year, the district’s efforts have reduced energy consumption by 14,619,169 kWh per year. This meant the AISD has avoided more than $6.6M in utility costs by implementing low-cost and no-cost energy reduction measures. The Facility Maintenance Decisions Achievement Awards recognize the role maintenance and engineering departments play in the successful and efficient operation of the nation’s institutional and commercial facilities as determined by online voting, a panel of judges and the magazine’s editors. † %R[2I¿FH Metro: 817-261-9628 305 W.
