For the 10th year in a row, students from the SVA at Seguin High
School hosted Walk It Out. The event was held on Global Youth
Service Day, April 16. This year, the event benefited two organizations:
Honor Flight DFW and Train a Dog Save a Warrior.
Students at Lamar High School tried to make a
difference at Earth Day event at Fair Park with
an exhibit on stopping animal cruelty.
The students and staff at Mary Moore Elementary
sent one of their own away in style with a clapout.
Teacher Jason Autry was recently deployed with
Army National Guard to Afghanistan for 400 days.
Thank you for your service, Mr. Autry.
United States Congressman Michael Burgess hosted a United States
Service Academy Forum at Sam Houston High School where students
from across the region were introduced to the different military
branches and more.
The Arlington Coalition for Education’s annual Leaders Inspiring Families for Excellence –or LIFE –Academy at Seguin
High School was a one-day forum on developing life skills. It included workshops for students and parents.
