#AISD What’s happening around the district The Rotary Clubs of Arlington united to provide a $2,000 donation to the Martin High School Robotics Club. The AISD saluted all of our librarians during National Library Week. The AISD has more than 75 librarians on our campuses, and each works hard to keep students connected with new technology and creative with innovative maker spaces. Dunn Elementary hosted a Beat the STAAR pep rally. The highlight of the event was the pie in the face with Ricardo Butler, fourth-grade teacher! Some of the AISD’s youngest students were treated to a special visit by author Eric Litwin at the PDC recently. Litwin, who authored the “Pete the Cat” series and the new “The Nuts” series, was able to share his “Sing and Dance in Your Polka-Dot Pants” book through a TLI grant with the district. 22 Arlington School & Family Ousley Junior High hosted its 14th annual Picnic With Parents with the theme Under the Big Top. The event encourages parent engagement and showcases a sense of community throughout the school.
