Appreciation
In January the AISD celebrated School Board Appreciation
Month, honoring our super heroes for schools President
Jamie Sullins, Vice President Dr. Aaron Reich, Secretary
John Hibbs, Assistant Secretary Kecia Mays, Polly
Walton, Kristen Hudson and Bowie Hogg, along with
Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos.

During the Board meeting, each member was presented
with framed artwork by fourth-grade students from
Rankin Elementary. Many schools created posters that
hung in the hallways of the administration building,
greeting the Board members.
Thank you to the AISD Board, which oversees the 11thlargest school district in the state of Texas, for putting an
emphasis on educational excellence and providing innovative
and rigorous learning experiences for all AISD students. †
