A Wish With Wings was selected as the charity of choice by Mr . Heart Throb and received $ 1,600 from junior Jake Pfaff .
“ Winning Mr . Heart Throb was honestly shocking because I didn ’ t expect it at all ,” Pfaff said . “ I was very excited to give to my charity because I know the money will go to good use .”
the main focus is on raising money for good causes .”
Also receiving honors during the evening were senior Andrew Nguyen , talent ; seniors William Sutherland and Connor Stewart , casual wear ; junior Kie Lancaster , Mr . GQ ; and Ian Block , Jacob Cantu , Jayden Williams , Tristan Gentry , William Sutherland , Chase Russell , and David Shiu , group dance . First runner-up was Tristan Gentry and second runner-ups ( tie ) were Andrew McDonald and Dylan Daniels . †
The annual event featured 30 junior and senior guys spoofing the traditional American beauty pageant with presentations in casual wear , talent , dance groups and formal wear .
“ It was a good time and we worked well together ,” junior Chase Russell said . “ We knew we had the skill to win the dance competition . Being in Mr . Viking was really fun .”
Third time proved to be the charm for senior Brent McQuitty , who was named Mr . Viking at the end of the pageant on Feb . 18 .
