Council provides training for local unit officers in
September. This training session includes Foundations
Leadership Orientation, which is mandated by Texas PTA
for all local unit officers. There is a vendor fair planned as
well, and individuals attending the training and workshops
are encouraged to browse through the fair between sessions.
The Arlington Council of PTAs has been a vital
component of the AISD since its inception in 1967. Over
the years, it has seen and experienced changes that come
with the growth of a metropolitan city such as Arlington.
As the AISD moves toward a premier status, Council
continues to partner with the school district to promote
the tenet of child advocacy that is the foundation of PTA.
