The lengths of the mall were also
illuminated with natural diffused light passing
through strip skylights and flooding the
interiors with light. The use of artificial light
was reduced and the heat gain was carefully
controlled by using the correct thermal values
and materials.
The east and west wing joined together at
the main entrance. This junction was resolved
by means of a 900m2 atrium, covered by a
12m high Lexan polycarbonate roof. The idea
was to create a transitional space, joining the
outside and the inside.
