frame by frame Perfect Blend by DENIS LANGLOIS When it comes to fashion, Mindy Gill-Johnson has a penchant for the dramatic. The 38-year-old Saugeen First Nation woman loves to wear bright, bold colours — powerful peacock, eye-popping fuchsia, vibrant violet — and dazzling designs. But, when it comes to eyewear, the museum curator favours the much-less conspicuous. The next glasses to stand out were a pair of Dana Buchman Vision Florrie frames in black with a tortoiseshelllike design. “These are much different than what I usually go with,” she said. “But I like the bold frame and the flecking of purple.” “Oddly enough, when it comes to glasses, I look for something that blends in because I wear so much colour everywhere else,” she said during a trip to an optician’s office near her Bruce County home. Her goal, she said, is to find frames that can match any outfit. “If I could afford glasses in every colour and pair them with my clothes for that day, I would.
