The Luxurious Life
Everyone loves a little luxury now and then.
In this issue, we bring you some of the most unique and fashionable
styles in luxury eyewear. Spanning contemporary to classics, this
selection will give your patients a variety of styles and looks. We also
look at the latest offerings in boutique eyewear. Not every patient is
drawn to traditional ‘brand name’ fashion. This selection of pieces
offers some alternatives to the go-to brands.
For the patient who is celebrity inspired, we present styles from
fashion icons like Gwen Stefani, Sophia Loren and Daisy Fuentes.
With fall fashions already making their way to the runways, we take a
look at some of the options for fall/winter sports with our look at photochromic goggles
designed to protect the eyes from harsh elements on the slopes. We also look at protecting the eyes from harmful blue light caused by both UV rays and blue light.
How patients are treated for their eye health concerns remains an ongoing challenge
within the industry. Recently the College of Optometrists introduced proposed changes
that would allow optometrists to prescribe a wider variety of ophthalmic drugs.
We talk with David Wilkinson of the College of Optometrists about the repercussions of
this industry changing proposal.
