ANN ARBOR, MICH. – October 12, 2016 – The Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) is excited to announce Marmot as an official AORE365 Alliance Partner. The 2-year partnership program was developed to provide our industry partners with opportunities to align with AORE’s mission and to show commitment and passion to the outdoor recreation industry.
AORE’s Executive Director, Jeannette Stawski, had this to say regarding the new partnership: “Marmot has been a long-time member of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education and we are so excited to work with them through the AORE 365 Alliance Partner program. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together to help one another further our missions within the outdoor recreation industry. Growing and developing long-term and sustainable relationships with our vendors is important to AORE, and Marmot is a perfect example of how these partnerships develop and grow over time. I’m excited to see how AORE and Marmot can work together to positively impact a wider audience and engage more programs and individuals in outdoor pursuits.”
Marmot began as a small college dorm operation in 1974 by two friends who had the intention of creating down jackets and sleeping bags for the most extreme conditions. Since its humble beginnings, Marmot has developed into a highly respected company that provides lifestyle and technical clothing and gear for all conditions and outdoor pursuits.
