David J Webb Program Excellence Award

Florida State University - Outdoor Pursuits

Florida State University's Outdoor Pursuits has diligently worked over recent years to raise the program to a top tier collegiate recreation program. They bring outdoor adventure and inspire environmental stewardship in individuals who may not otherwise be exposed to such a culture.

Seeing the lack of diversity in outdoor programming, OP is making it a priority to market to a wider audience and has even teamed up with "Best Buddies," a national organization, to lead custom trips for people in the Tallahassee area with cognitive and physical disabilities. With the passion, commitment to excellence, and adaptability, Florida State's Outdoor Pursuits stands out as a leader among collegiate recreation programs.
