We’re committed to helping our residents save money on their utility bills by making their homes more energy and water efficient and promoting greener lifestyles. As well as improving our homes we’re advising residents on how to reduce energy and water bills. Last year we: „„ „„ „„ „„ „„ „„ „„ „„ Delivered 700 in-home energy advice visits Distributed 2,000 of our ‘Little Green Bag’ advice packs to residents Delivered a major programme of water efficiency improvements at the Lansdowne Green estate in Lambeth Produced an Energy Performance Certificate for 84% of our homes Delivered a programme of waste, composting and food growing improvements in Hastings Submitted £1.5m of funding bids to improve the energy efficiency of our homes Achieved a Sustainable Homes Index for Tomorrow (SHIFT) Silver rating. SHIFT is a national scheme that measures the environmental performance of housing providers. Developed a new Energy and Environment Strategy for 2015/20. In the next 12 months we’ll: „„ Deliver a programme of energy and water efficiency improvements to our homes „„ Develop opportunities to secure grant funding to improve the energy efficiency of our homes „„ Deliver a staff engagement campaign to reduce business mileage costs and CO2 emissions „„ Deliver further reductions to office waste to achieve cost savings and reduce environmental impact „„ Deliver a major programme of energy and environmental improvements to achieve a SHIFT Gold rating. The IFORE Project IFORE, our award winning four year retrofit project in Rushenden, Kent, came to an end in 2014. The project transformed over 100 homes to be super energy efficient and encouraged over 1000 residents to change their behaviour around energy efficiency.
