To begin , I wish to thank all of you who support Polk Vision and those who participate in the on-going and important work . Having served as a volunteer for over a decade , I am honored to have been recently appointed as Executive Director of this wonderful organization .

This is our second year as an affiliate member of Alignment USA ; a relationship made possible by the combined support of our school district and county government . This membership has provided us with a tool-kit of organization processes and technology that when combined with our existing structure and principles enabled us to increase our collaborative work across the county .
On the following pages you will find a high-level view of the work of fourteen Teams comprised of hundreds of volunteers and dozens of businesses and organizations working together on a shared Vision . Over these past months , relationships and trust have been building and underpin the work of each Team . When community and business members sit side-by-side with education and government representatives , powerful , innovative solutions emerge . Through our LEAD process , Polk Vision is working in new ways to foster a deeper understanding of the issues for everyone .
