In addition to being adult learners Carlos Rosario School students are predominantly low income, are often-times parents, single heads of household, full or part-time employees and are juggling multiple jobs with demanding hours and changing work schedules. These experiences present our students with a unique set of needs that must be met as well as assets to be leveraged. Our experienced support services staff works to eliminate barriers to student learning and persistence while promoting the assets that each adult learner brings. Services provided are culturally and linguistically appropriate and are offered in four major languages (English, Spanish, Amharic, and Vietnamese) by our highly qualified counselors and staff. ................................................................... ā€œIā€™m proud to be a Carlos Rosario student because it enables me. I got good health services, good counseling, STUDENT SERVICES and job training.ā€ - Frehiwot, ESL 1 CARLOS ROSARIO INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL / 2015 ANNUAL REPORT 17
