GED Test Preparation: Carlos Rosario School offers GED test preparation classes in Spanish and English. The academic content areas taught are language arts (writing and reading), social studies, science, and mathematics. Additionally, through Plazas Communitarias Carlos Rosario, a U.S.-based program sponsored by the Mexican Consulate, students earn elementary and middle school certificates while also improving English language skills through the School’s English language program. Citizenship Preparation: According to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), students eligible to become U.S. citizens must have at least five years of continuous residence in this country as permanent residents and have the ability to read, write, and speak basic English. This class ensures eligible students will be able to pass the official naturalization test with confidence and covers topics such as U.S. history, civics, the Constitution, the democratic process, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens. program support services Content ESL: ESL Health and ESL for Families: ESL Health provides English language learners with knowledge and skills for maintaining good health.
