Why Pro Stock?
Heroes from the earlier days as a kid, Hans Van Dyk,
Peter Ridgeway, Joe Polito, Gerry Parrente, nothing
has ever or will ever sound like a Pro car
If you weren’t racing in Pro Stock, what bracket
would you choose and why?
My heart is with Pro Stock, but because of popularity I
would have to say Top Doorslammer
At the 2016 Australian Nationals you were in the
other lane when Bill Perdikaris flipped wildly.
What goes through your mind when that happens
next to you?
I was too far in front to realise what had happened.
When I got back my heart went out to Bill and his
Family/Team. That’s racing, it has very little ups and
plenty of downs.
Looking back on the most recent season, what did
you think of the changes to NHRA Pro Stock?
Not really sure I’ve taken too much notice, apart from
my interest in Shane Tucker doing well I’m not sure,
but the cars still look pretty.
There are a number of Junior Dragsters racing for
Team Mopar Australia. Are you expecting to see
them in the opposite lane to you one day?
Yes maybe, not sure if they will be racing Pro Stock
but we will be running in three categories at the
Nationals at Calder in January, me and my two older
boys.
