Tim attended his first race meeting back in 1995
at Adelaide International Raceway – a Wild Bunch
showcase thrilling the crowd.
It was that meeting where Tim saw his hero
Victor Bray racing in person for the very first time
and from that moment he was hooked.
“I spectated for a couple of years before joining
my dad as an official,” he says.
“I started as the 660ft spotter and helping in
scrutineering at AIR before Mitch Johnson needed
a Super Street bracket marshall.
“I did that job at various tracks in the SA Division,
usually travelling with Mitch. Little did I know
he was setting me up to take over as Meeting
Director.”

Tim has thrived in his role as a Meeting Director
travelling throughout the South Australian
Division earning the respect from racers and
officials alike.
“It is stressful but the feeling of running a
successful meeting is great. I love meeting new
racers from all over the country and have made
many, many friends.
“I’ve been a member of the SA DC for 10 years now
and this year was elevated to Division Director
and I look forward to the challenges and rewards
of the role.
“I hope to continue in the role for as long as
possible to give SA some stability, just like Harry
White did.”
