Krys Boyd

Krys Boyd has been host and managing editor of KERA-FM’s flagship midday talk show Think since 2006. Krys began her career along the U.S.-Mexico border, working simultaneously at radio and television stations as a reporter, anchor and news director.

A graduate of TCU, Krys returned to North Texas in 1999 to serve as News Director for Broadcast.com, and later Senior Producer of Broadcast News at Yahoo. Krys joined KERA in 2001, hosting the nightly radio talk show Conversations. Later, she wrote and produced documentary and educational television programs, including the critically-acclaimed, nationally-broadcast JFK: Breaking the News in 2003, and served as producer and co-host of the Emmy Award-winning public affairs program On the Record. Krys and Think have earned multiple “Best of Dallas” honors from the Dallas Observer and D Magazine. Krys and her husband, Matt, live in Dallas and have four children.

Shannon Powell Hart

Shannon Powell Hart was recruited by Good Morning Texas after working on WFAA's digital team and starting the show's "Tech Tuesday" segments. As an award-winning journalist, Shannon is excited to call Dallas and WFAA home.

Her career spans more than 20 years with stops across the East Coast and West South Central. She has interviewed people with many different interesting stories including movie stars, activists and three U.S. Presidents. WFAA-TV became Shannon's TV home in 2011 when she was brought in to serve behind the scenes on the station's digital team. There she helped reporters transition their broadcast skills to the web and into social media. Soon her on-air talents were put back into action when she joined the station's morning entertainment show "Good Morning Texas."

Volunteering has been a large part of Shannon's professional and personal life. She volunteers in her church. She hosts numerous events for local chapters of the National Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and for breast cancer awareness campaigns and other non-profits. Her work with Junior Leagues in Greenville, SC, Norfolk-Virginia Beach, Austin and Dallas has allowed her to serve the community.

Marisa Trevino

Marisa Treviño is an award-winning career journalist and public radio commentator, with over 20 years experience in the journalism industry, who has dedicated her professional life to covering issues important to the greater Latino Community.

In 2004, Marisa founded the blog Latina Lista reporting on issues relevant to Latinas not featured in mainstream media at the time. Since then, Latina Lista has grown into a robust news site and the flagship property of the digital media company Treviño TodaMedia (TTM).

In addition to Latina Lista, TTM encompasses Hispanic News Online, a lifestyle and culture site; Conflays, a Millennium-focused publication, the Hispanic Podcast Network, several mobile magazine titles and the news and announcement service app/website GritoBlast!

In addition to her journalism career, Marisa is the author of the e-book A Simple Start to Blogging with Social Media and was recognized in 2011 by a national Latina magazine as one of the trailblazers of the Latino blogosphere. She is also an award-winning playwright.

Marisa lives with her family in the greater Dallas Metroplex.
