Rick Hunt, (B : 1955, Littleton, New Hampshire), studied with
internationally known artist, Kenneth Westhaver, privately and at Franconia
College as a teen before attending Massachusetts College of Art in the early
1980’s.
Rick’s art has been shown in such places as galleries and museums and has
been published in books and magazines. Together, with his wife, Carolyn
Hunt, they have been performing as storytellers known as “Laughing
Couple”, (http://www.laughingcouple.com/ ) while traveling all over New
England, New York, and New Jersey and performing in schools, colleges, and
museums. They can be seen at cultural events, powwows, and events such as
Burlington, Vermont First Night. Laughing Couple has even had the honor of
sharing a stage with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra.
Currently, Rick is working on co-curating Twisted Path III for the Abbe
Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine, is Co-Hosting, “The Angie Bowie Barnett
Show,” on Blog Talk Radio, where she describes them as a “creative duo”,
and is also designing illustrations and paintings for various musicians
projects (ie: Angie Bowie, Jeff Slate and Birds of Paradox [a band consisting
of ex-members of Paul McCartney’s Wings and John Lennon’s Elephant
Memory Band]).
Rick Hunt’s art is featured in private collections worldwide and can be
viewed at the Abbe Museum in February 2014.
