VIKING BRAND TRANSITIONING TO
100% NON-GMO & ORGANIC!
Albert Lea Seed House is happy to announce that from here on out, the Viking Brand
will be 100% focused on non-GMO and organic corn, soybean and alfalfa seed. Viking
Seed will not carry any seed with GMO or GE traits.
We’re making this change to focus on what we know best—and that’s seed and solutions for organic farmers. Albert Lea Seed was one of the first companies in the country
to offer certified organic field seed. We produced our first certified organic oat seed
in 1996 and the Organic Viking corn and soybean line is the longest standing brand
on the market. We’re proud of our history of innovation, and we’re excited to focus on
developing high-performing products for our organic farmers.
What’s not changing is our team. They know their stuff, and they’ve been in this business a long time. Many on our team have been in the seed industry for decades and
now all of our collective knowledge and resources will be focused exclusively on providing seed-based solutions for organic and non-GMO farmers.
As we move forward with this transition over the next weeks and months our mission to
you, our farmer customers, has never been more clear. We will continue to provide the
widest selection of high-performing organic farm seed in the marketplace paired with
knowledgeable and thoughtful service at a fair and equitable price.
