VIKING COVER CROP MIXES
Viking AerialMax CC5 (C) –
Winter Rye + Dwarf Essex Rape + Lentils + Common Vetch
Specialized cover crop mix designed specifically for aerial application into standing
corn and soybeans. Created in collaboration with Practical Farmers of Iowa. Best results when flown on at or before corn dieback and/or soybean leaf yellowing. Winter rye will survive the winter but other species will winterkill.
Seeding Window: Plant August 1st - September 15th
Seeding Rate: 60-70 lbs/acre.
Recommended Seeding Method: Dr ill, Br oadcast, Aer ial
Recommended Rotation: Flown on in the fall into cor n/soybeans

Viking SummerMax CC6 (C) –
Sorghum/Sudangrass + Japanese Millet + Sunn Hemp + Buckwheat + Soybeans
Full-season cover crop mix blended for maximum summer growth, weed suppression and soil building. Vigorous growing combination of summer annual grasses,
broadleaves & legumes will compete with any weed and put on tremendous growth.
Ideal for summer fallow soil building, prevent plant or as a diverse forage mix.
Should be mowed to prevent seed production.
Seeding Window: Plant May 30th - August 15th
Seeding Rate: 40-60 lbs/acre
Recommended Seeding Method: Dr ill
Recommended Rotation: After small gr ains, pr event plant, summer fallow

Our most diverse cover crop blend. Designed to meet or exceed the requirements of
the USDA EQIP program. Excellent candidate for aerial application into standing
crops or at the last cultivation time-frame.
Seeding Window: Plant at V6 (last cultivation) or August 1 st - September 15th
Seeding Rate: 15-20 lbs/acre
Recommended Seeding Method: Dr ill, Br oadcast, Aer ial
Recommended Rotation: Inter seeded into cor n & soybeans. Flown on in the fall
into corn & soybeans
