SAFETY TRAINING FOR CONSTRUCTION
LEAD & ASBESTOS AWARENESS
Lead Awareness Training: covers OSHA’s Lead Standards for both General Industrial Standard as well as Construction.
This training is for employees in general industry and construction environments where lead and lead-based materials
are found.
“Lead Awareness Training” addresses the major areas required by the regulations. Because of the widespread
historical use of lead-based paints, as well as other materials containing lead, this program is useful to building and
construction workers, manufacturing workers, recyclers, and many others.
Asbestos Training Class: Attendees will learn how to identify suspect asbestos-containing materials, respond to
asbestos emergencies, recognize asbestos hazards, and prevent exposure to themselves and building occupants.

LOCK-OUT / TAG-OUT FOR CONSTRUCTION
In this course, students will learn about lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) for the protection of workers while performing service
on or around maintenance activities on machines and equipment. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 LOTO refers to specific
practices and procedures to safeguard employees from the unexpected start-up of machinery and equipment, or the
release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities.
Learn how to detect hazardous conditions and implement control measures as they relate to the control of hazardous
energy, assist in the development and implementation of energy control programs, including written procedures, training
for authorized and affected employees, and periodic inspection of energy control procedures.

OSHA 10-HOUR FOR CONSTRUCTION
The OSHA 10-Hour training course is designed to provide construction contractors, their supervisors, and workers with
authoritative knowledge on safety and health issues in the construction industry. It offers an educational overview of the
ten most common areas of concern, and all the issues related to the construction industry. The instructors for this course
will include safety professionals who work for AGC member companies.
