SAFETY COMMITTEE
The Safety Committee promotes and delivers services that maintain
and improve safety in the construction industry, including monitoring,
communicating, and understanding Federal OSHA and Cal OSHA policies
and procedures. The committee also continually publishes updated safety
information, provides safety consulting and educational opportunities, and
continually searches for new ways to motivate the industry to upgrade
safety consciousness.

AWARDS (CSEA)
AGC’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) program is the industry’s elite
safety competition. CSEA is a rigorous competition that recognizes construction firms
that have developed and implemented premier safety and loss prevention programs.
AGC San Diego Chapter is known nationwide as the CSEA superstar, with multiple highranking finishes each year. Congratulations to the 2015 award winners.

AGC leaned on the Safety Committee's knowledge to ensure AGC's new Fall Protection Campus and
curriculum meet the needs of the industry.
This campus is a game changer,” said Vince Hundley, AGC’s Director of Safety. “There is no
margin for error in the application and use of fall protection equipment. A worker that trains in
real life simulations is going to retain much more than those trained in a classroom setting only.
