TRAFFIC CONTROL TECHNICIAN AND TRAFFIC CONTROL FLAGGER TRAINING COURSE
“A CERTIFIED COMBINATION COURSE”
This training course is designed to instruct individuals in the basic fundamentals of temporary traffic control zone requirements
and traffic control flagging requirements in accordance with the current California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
(CA MUTCD) and Cal/OSHA safety regulations. This combination course provides certified training for a Temporary Traffic Control
Technician and Traffic Control Flagger. Individuals shall receive training in the principles of traffic control and traffic control
flagging before being assigned that responsibility in an active temporary traffic control work zone. This combination work zone
traff ic control course will provide the practical knowledge needed to properly install and maintain a temporary work zone traffic
control system in the state of California.

TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPERVISOR (TCS)
ADVANCED TRAINING IN THE PRINCIPLES OF TEMPORARY WORK ZONE TRAFFIC CONTROL
2-DAY COURSE
This TCS course combines the concepts and techniques taught in the Traffic Control Technician (TCT) - Part 1, the Traffic Control
Flagger - Part 2, with Special Short Duration Traffic Control Operations, Part 3. Students are taught how to recognize, analyze and
correct traffic control deficiencies. There will be direct instruction, group discussions, and audio-visual presentations. A further
objective of this course is to teach the students skills necessary to become an effective supervisor so they can effectively oversee
personnel in the field. This course is an introduction to the basic principles of temporary work zone traffic control. This training
course is designed to instruct the student on the basic fundamentals of traffic controls in accordance with the California Manual
of Traffic Controls (MTC) (Referred to in the California Vehicle Code, Section 21400).
