“The client went on holiday to the Karoo and fell in love with it; she wanted to recreate the experience at home.” Paige Waplington started her design firm four years ago after graduating from the Durban University of Technology with a degree in interior design. “I absolutely love what I do and believe interiors play a huge part in everyone’s lives. I enjoy designing interiors that link to the client’s personality,” she explains. Redesign Interiors strives to provide the best service to their clientele, without compromising on quality, reliability and trust. They build meaningful relationships with each of their clients, creating a sense of calm right from the conceptual thinking, up until the finishing touches. Their passion for design, nature and all things South African, often drives them to design eco-friendly and African-inspired interiors. This has lead them to where they are today, as sought after and greatly respected interior designers. “I love this project,” concludes Waplington. “It is not my normal style as I usually design with colour, however, it has a nice calming feel and the clients were super amazing so I always have good thoughts.” AD LOCATION: Westville, Durban INTERIOR DESIGNER: Redesign Interiors PROJECT TYPE: Residential interior renovation SIZE: 150m2 PHOTOGRAPHER: Lauren Galloway Photography i 44 africandesignmagazine.com
