Human civilisations are growing at an unprecedented rate that shapes multiple changes of human living conditions, including how we dwell and how our dwellings have evolved. This conference seeks to gather and redefine global new perspectives on dwelling form through exploration on these changes. The conference intends to call for an alternative exploration and discourse based on a transformation on our livelihood to complement current dwelling form discourse, which is largely emphasizing on the improvement of existing physical dwelling provisions. Such alternative viewpoint is necessary as meaningful and significant improvement on living conditions cannot be achieved without understanding the complex and contemporary ways of dwelling in both Indonesian and global context. This year, the show’s exhibition halls have been given a complete makeover, with a fresh new design ensuring even easier navigation and exciting new DIY and bedroom sections. Plus, more than 700 decorators and designers, furniture suppliers, kitchen manufacturers, and paint and décor specialists who will be exhibiting, have been months in preparation in order to showcase the very best of local and international home and interior trends, products and services. This year sees the introduction of Decorex SA’s extensive new trade programme, which includes the Architecture + Interior Design Africa conference as well as a trade only preview morning, business match-making and a trade networking function.
