ALABAMA
The Long Weekend Multimedia Workshop The Alabama Scholastic Press Association invites middle and high school students to attend The Long Weekend summer journalism camp June 2-4 at the University of Alabama . At The Long Weekend , students will learn skills from industry professionals to apply within their yearbook , newspaper , multimedia , creative writing , broadcast or sports journalism tracks . Multicultural Journalism Workshop at the University of Alabama will be held June 2-11 . The purpose of the workshop is to give high school students experience that teaches them more about college life and a career in media . Students do not have to live in Alabama . The program is free and the University supplies housing , meals and field trips , as well as top-notch , intensive instruction by industry professionals . Cronkite High School Summer Journalism Institute at Arizona State University in Phoenix , June 4-16 . A two-week summer camp for promising high school journalists with hands-on training in how to report and write stories , produce newscasts and create multimedia content .
High School Media and Innovation Camp at Arizona State University in Phoenix , June 18-30 . A two-week summer camp focusing on digital media and innovation , virtual reality , building mobile apps and serious games .
