I would say to anyone who looks for a role model “do not aspire to be that person; be confident in who YOU are, aspire to the quality of character you value, and be a role model for others to aspire to.” Come to think of it, that’s just what my father would say – so I must have learned from the best. Where do you find inspiration? I enjoy challenge and tend to avoid standing still. Inspiration, in its worst form, comes out of fear; fear of doing, not doing, making mistakes, etc. My inspiration comes from the energy created by those around me who share the same passion, the same goals, the same principles, and are willing to think hard, work hard and own what they accomplish. What would surprise people about you? In a prior life, I held the title of “Cheese Maker.” Really – I made cheese. For three years during college, I worked at a cheddar cheese plant and was responsible for turning 4,500 gallons of milk into premium cheddar every hour. You might be surprised what’s in there!
