Where: When: Harmony Learning Center 1961 County Road C Maplewood, MN 55109 Mon: 9:15 am - 7:30 pm Tues - Thurs: 9:15 am - 7:30 pm Fridays: 9:15 am - 1:30 pm ACCUPLACER College Admission Class The ACCUPLACER test is used to help determine course selection for students and includes three sections: Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, and Math. The GED tests are four tests in the areas of Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. You are eligible to take the tests if you are not enrolled in and have not graduated from high school. For Minnesota residents, the fee is $30 per test. The total for all four tests is $120. Requirements in Minnesota: At least 19 years of age or an age waiver* Resident of Minnesota Two of the following: Minnesota driver’s license, passport or State ID card with picture, date and place of residence *For information on obtaining an age waiver, please call the GED Preparation Center at (651) 748-6208. What do the GED tests consist of? (tests may be taken in any order) Reasoning through Language Arts (RLA) (150 mins) 75% Informational Texts 25% Literature Section 1 - (30 mins): Tests All Content Section 2 - (45 mins): Extended Response Portion of the Test Break - (10 min) Section 3 - (65 mins): Tests All Content Social Studies (70 mins) 50% Civics and Government 20% U.S. History 15% Economics 15% Geography and the World Section 1 - (70 mins): Tests All Content Science (90 mins) 40% Life Science 40% Physical Science 20% Earth and Space Science Section 1 - (90 mins): All Test Content and Two Short Answer Questions Mathematics (115 mins) 45% Quantitative Problem Solving 55% Algebraic Problem Solving Section 1 - (no time limit): 5 Questions (no calculator allowed) Section 2 - (rest of the time): Rest of the Test (calculator allowed) FREE Classes GED Preparation Classes General Education Development (GED) is a self-paced program designed to help you study and prepare to take the GED test. If you already have a GED or high school diploma, you may want to upgrade your skills. When are classes held? Tues., Weds., & Thursdays: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Come when you can! You don’t have to attend the entire time. How do I get started? Please call to find out how you can get started or come to the Harmony Learning Center during the following registration times: Mondays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Thursdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Fridays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. How long will it take to earn my GED?
