Acoustic Drive Magazine - Issue #1 | Page 35

“ The best part of my day is when I put up the Hit List and watch the amount of hits we get just blow up .”
right now and it is so awesome to know that people like Jay and Suzanne can see it and feel it too .
When asked about the direction they wanted their page to go they made it very clear to us that their passion is Texas country , they are driven by that genre of music . They know these artist , they know their music and love their music , BUT they do not want to limit the themselves just at specific genre they don ’ t want to be a specific . Suzanne said , “ we have to get plugged into the rock side .” When you look at the page now you might say , “ well this is all Texas country ” and it very much is now , but they are shifting towards rock , blues , folk , anything really .
This page is about live music period . They discussed how tired they , like many of us , get when we turn on the radio and you hear the same songs over and over , the same ol ’ Top 40 list playing every hour on the hour . During our interview they made a great point and that is , why listen to the same old crap when there are so many unique and talented artist all over DFW that you can go and see live .
When we were discussing the topic of live music versus the negative side to the radio they said , “ You can go down to The Stockyards and hit twelve different places and see fifteen different artist and never hear the same song twice or even same styles of music .” It is no secret that the local artist in the DFW are unique , creative and full of energy and passion . It is a no-brainer why these two people have found the drive and love for wanting to share their passion for music with the masses .
The North Texas Rhythm Facebook page is just the beginning for Jay and Suzanne , this was like their baby and now they are fired up and excited to watch it grow . There is a website in the process of being made , however , they will never stop the Facebook page because this is what has gotten them this far .
“ The best part of my day is when I put up the Hit List and watch the amount of hits we get just blow up .”
“ Some days we see anywhere between 4,000-7,000 hit in one day !” Those are fantastic numbers and ADR is just as ecstatic to see that many people checkin ’ out what we all are working so hard to do .
Jay did tell us about a crazy cool concept they will be adding to their website . He is going to take random artist and let them review other artists music , which is awesome because “ professional review writers ” generally aren ’ t musicians , never recorded and album , and probably don ’ t listen to the kind of music they write about .
Because of this we end up getting shotty feedback and making false judgments based on their opinions . So Jay said to hell with that , I want artist reviewing other artist , they know the blood , sweat and tears that go into creating music and writing albums . He feels that these reviews will be the real deal , coming from people who will give their honest , professional opinion and can critique on the production and technical side that goes into every album .
When ADR first heard about North Texas Rhythm ’ s Facebook page we were immediately drawn to it because of the dedication and obvious love for the local music scene and we are thankful to have the chance to meet these guys . Please go and check out NORTH TEXAS RHYTHM page on Facebook and please go out and support the local music scene !

By doing so , you are helping them reach a greater audience of music lovers across the DFW area ; so that they too can have a one stop page to find just about every show that is going on in DFW . If you are in a band or a solo artist , be sure to send them a message with your Facebook or Reverbnation info , so that they can add you to the list , and get your show dates and locations to the growing masses .
