Whether you end up getting married and growing old , or splitting up and growing apart , either way you can look back on those beginning days with a little smile . The line in the third verse “ What we thought we had forever was a love that fades away ” pretty much sums up every past relationship . ( Past relationships , meaning everyone ’ s . Not just mine ! [ Laughs ]
Sally : The song that stands out the most for me would probably be one of our newer ones called “ Rust .” The song is about people going thru life that maybe aren ’ t so lucky and can ’ t catch a break . Rust is a duet and has awesome vocal dynamics from the twins of the group : Bethany and Caleb Wallace . I believe this song has great potential for reaching and capturing lots of fans because everyone has been through a difficult time at one point or another in their life .

When you two are working on a song together and getting the feel of it , do you feel that there is a connection that helps y ’ all to be to be on the same page / level ? Caleb : I guess you could say that . I think this applies more when we are singing , though .

Have you been the primary writer for any of the songs on the album ? Caleb : Yes , I ’ ve written several songs . One of them will be on the upcoming album , “ Hut , 2 , 3 , 4 ”. Everyone kept telling me we needed to write a military song to honor those who served . But I didn ’ t really pay attention to them because I ’ d never written a song . However , a thought came to my mind . So I wrote it down and it eventually evolved into a song that I proposed to the band . It is about a man serving whose wife is already died and all he can think of is his wife as he marches to battle .
