important parts of my life and I feel like when I share my story and tell my tattoo artist ‘ Hey , this is what ’ s going on in my life and this is what I ’ m feeling ,’ she can portray that . I give her ‘ This is what I ’ m thinking and this is the mood that I need you to bring to life . Now you do your part .’ We work so well together and I think that ’ s why my piece comes out so good because so much emotion is put into it . It ’ s not like I find something on the internet and ask her to put it on my body . We sit down and talk about it and why I want this certain tattoo and then we create something . That ’ s the beauty in creating these pieces . It ’ s an important aspect of my life so it has to really resonate with me . It ’ s not just anything I ’ m putting on there and she gets that about me . That ’ s what I love and that ’ s why I keep going back to her .
It seems like you put a lot of thought into the tattoos that you get . Have you ever gotten a tattoo that you ’ ve later regretted ? No . I don ’ t regret any of my tattoos , because even if it ’ s a spur of the moment ‘ how I ’ m feeling ’ it ’ s still a feeling and that is valued . That is important . Whether it ’ s not important to you or someone else doesn ’ t matter . If I ’ m feeling something in the moment and I put that on my skin that ’ s not a regret for me .
What advice would you give to somebody who would be afraid of the permanence of a tattoo ? Well if you ’ re scared about something permanent then that ’ s probably not the best thing you should be doing to your body . Go get one of those 50 cent tattoos out of the machine . To me , since I was a kid I ’ ve always loved pain . I think pain makes people feel alive . That ’ s why I sit for 7 hours . It ’ s soothing to me . It ’ s an addiction , but not the addiction that I used to have , if that makes sense . It ’ s a positive addiction and I think that ’ s what keeps me sober and present . It ’ s healing for me . Two months ago I was going through this weird feeling of what love meant to me . I was going through some
