How has LA been treating you guys since the team moved back ? LA has been good to us . They have a great fan base ; it was easy to come back here . Everyone was excited for football to be back in LA . It definitely made things a lot easier for us ; you get noticed a lot more . I think they just like having us big body guys around other than the same old basketball players , actors and actresses . It ’ s just something different to come to LA that hasn ’ t been here in over a couple decades .
It definitely appeared that way on HBO : Hard Knocks . It seemed like they were embracing the team before you returned to the city . Absolutely . We had so many people traveling down to Orange County just to check out these practices . I don ’ t think that we ’ ve ever had close to 10,000 people at a practice . That was a first time for that . It was pretty cool .
With all of the hard work that you guys were putting in , it seemed like you able to incorporate having a lot of fun . Yeah , absolutely . We wanted to have fun . You don ’ t want to be too rigid ; that can get you to make mistakes or even get you hurt . We ’ re a pretty free spirited group . Even as far as me and my wife we like to go out and experience everything and enjoy our time . LA is a great place to go out and find something relaxing or just hang out . Whatever you want to do you can find it anywhere . That ’ s been a big change over St . Louis .
Going back to the start of your career when you were coming out of Indiana . When you were selected 33rd overall in the second round by St . Louis what was that process like prior to the draft as well as being selected ? It was definitely nerve wracking . I think by the time I was a senior I
