so sometimes my agent isn ’ t happy if he has to push an audition back . The main thing I ’ m thrilled about is as an ex-athlete you really get stimulated with the crowd cheering for you and stuff . I feel like I have my crowd back . It doesn ’ t build my ego it solidifies my path . It makes me feel validated in what I ’ m trying to accomplish which is being a professional actor . So that ’ s why I ’ m thrilled . It is a grind , it ’ s exhausting . Some people feel they have to do it for their budget but I do it of the reassurance and the finance too . The conventions have enabled me to have an income and not be a part of that nightclub world that I ’ ve matured out of .
As far as acting , is there anything that you ’ d like to do that you haven ’ t done ? When I was younger in my career I use to think I ’ d like to fight Spiderman or whoever . With those big budgets the residuals are so much stronger . I still hope for that but now since I ’ ve been humbled with the responsibilities with my daughters , being a role model , etc ; I just like working . Independent pieces are awesome because you ’ re working . The big budgets like Westworld are just a blessing . I have a coach now and we ’ ve been improving my memory and my connection to the character . Anything where I can get a chance to display more dialogue would be fantastic . So I like the art of acting more than the movie star stuff . Once again with a family it would be awesome if I could loop my way into a Marvel movie . That would be fantastic .
As far as the Rob Zombie films , is there plans for anything ? Do you guys still stay in contact ? No . He ’ s on contact with some of the other people . We have different vibes . I ’ m an inner-city dude and he ’ s a heavy metal guy . I ’ m more of a Motown guy . So no , we ’ re not in touch at all , unfortunately . I would love to work with him again . He ’ s had major success on a few of his films ; cult classics . The first Halloween and The Devil ’ s
