They tried to push me more towards sculpture and more contemporary stuff , so I really didn ’ t do much drawing the entire time I was in art school . It was only when I finished that I felt so relieved . I finally felt that I could make the art that I wanted to . I think that actually gave me the push to put myself out there .
With the anticipation you were feeling to graduate , how was the transition into learning how to tattoo ? It was difficult . I started at my friend ’ s shop and he was going through a bad time . He didn ’ t really have time to show me the ropes . I was so eager at that time and didn ’ t feel like I was progressing at all . I was lucky enough that I guy named Pete Belson
