The City continues to look for ways to reach out to businesses and take advantage of opportunities that can make us better . We held our second annual Business Day at City Hall this year , a notable event that connects business and City leaders , facilitates the sharing of ideas and information , and allows us to get to know one another better .
We also value feedback . Another annual business survey was conducted in 2016 and , overall , the results were very positive . The opinions reflected in the survey show Bloomington is a stable environment and a good place to do business . There is confidence within the community that we are doing well .
The City is looking toward the future with a One Bloomington vision . The City Council has created this strategic plan to guide the city over the next several years . One area of focus is on improving the awareness and reputation of Bloomington across the region and state . Our intent is to work with our partners to create a favorable image of our city , and leverage and integrate Bloomington ’ s accomplishments with its reputation for innovation . We all have a stake in the success of this community and are pulling together in support of a better , healthier and stronger Bloomington .
